Understand first, code later
I read requirements twice and ask a ton of questions before writing a single line. A misunderstood problem is the most expensive bug to fix.
Architecture dictates
I think about scalability and testability from day zero. I write code imagining I'll have to debug it in six months (because I probably will).
Rapid iterations
No 'big bang' releases. I prefer atomic commits, clear Pull Requests, and incremental deploys. Every step must be safe and reversible.
Quality is non-negotiable
Automated testing, strict linting, and ruthless (but kind) code reviews. I don't ship anything I wouldn't be proud of.
Proactive Communication
I flag issues before they become blockers. I raise my hand early, bringing proposed solutions instead of excuses.
Operational Autonomy
I take ownership of features from requirements analysis to production deploy. I can run solo, but I also know exactly when to ask for help.
Code Review as a dojo
I see PRs as the best opportunity to raise the team's bar. I give specific, constructive feedback. Less 'this is wrong', more 'have you considered this approach?'
